What is Type 2 Diabetes
Type 2 diabetes is high blood sugar levels due to your body not making enough insulin.

Unlike type 1, type 2 can be reversed without the use of medication. Type 2 can be reversed with a low carb/low sugar diet and a healthy lifestyle. One good way to keep fit is plain and simply walking.

My name is Fiona and I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes in 2015 at the age of 30.
I didn't know what this meant, how it would affect my life and also my family and friends.
I had no idea where to seek information or advice.
This site is designed, as part of a college project, to be a one stop shop for anyone wanting to find out more about Type 2 Diabetes.
